The Jhadoo-Pocha Playlist

Let’s face it, one of the absolute worst side effects of quarantine has been becoming a full time house help. I have been one of the many people who had to take up the jhadoo-pocha-bartan-kapde (house cleaning, dish washing and laundry) routine as a fun little hobby, on the side. I had to do something to make it just a little bit more fun.

Over the past 4 months of torture, I have made myself a very strange playlist that I am sharing with you today. These are my favorites, but you can check out the entire quarantine playlist here. Enjoy.

Million Years Ago- Adele

“Look up to the sky, not just the floor I feel like my life is flashing by and all I can do is watch and cry I miss the air, I miss my friends I miss my mother, I miss it when life was a party to be thrown but that was a million years ago.” has anything ever sounded more accurate?

Promises- Calvin Harris, Sam Smith

A little bit of dancing never hurt anyone, even in the middle of an intense house cleaning session.

A Thousand Bad Times- Post Malone

I had a thousand bad times, so what's another time to me?

I Drove All Night- Celine Dion

The real question is, what isn't this song good for? It’s a whole mood.

Cool- Dua Lipa

To be honest, I like her entire new album Future Nostalgia for my jhadoo-pocha shenanigans.

My Way- Frank Sinatra

“I've lived a life that's full, I've travelled each and every highway and more, much more than this, I did it my way. Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention, I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption.”

A fittingly dramatic end to a completely unnecessary activity.
